Miss Uganda UK:Miss Uganda UK is an annual beauty pageant for girls of Ugandan origin residing in UK and/or Europe aged between 17 and 24 years. However, after almost half a decade in limbo, we are now reviving what should be the Ugandan event of the year for the Ugandan community in UK a new lease of life with the intention of making Miss Uganda UK a regular annual event. To strengthen the pageant even more, we have liaised with the Ugandan national pageant in Kampala so that the winner can contest for Miss Uganda which automatically qualifies her to stand for the prestigious Miss World if she emerges winner. The all-new Miss Uganda UK will evolve to represent the woman of the new millennium who will be confident, beautiful, ambitious and empowered with a sense of social responsibility. In addition, the new Miss Uganda UK title winner will be actively involved in promoting the business of our sponsors and partners. Ugandan Beauty, Culture & Heritage, Miss Uganda UK Beauty contest is an innovative way to put Uganda on the map for international trade and to let the world learn about our history, beauty, culture, traditions, tourism potential and all aspects of Ugandan lifestyle both here in the UK and across the globe. Our contestants are encouraged to promote all of these attributes that Uganda has to offer, In the process of doing that, we take the opportunity and utilise Miss Uganda UK to highlight the plight and raise funds for the underprivileged children of Northern Uganda. Miss Uganda UK provides an opportunity to give back to our community and come to the aid of those less fortunate than us. Once the winner is crowned, with all the communities help, support, guidance and further training provided for by Miss Uganda UK, she will be able to use her title to influence change and raise funds for the children of Northern Uganda through our official charity – Latitude Care Network. It is an opportunity for Ugandans not only in the UK but globally to showcase to the World and celebrate the beauty of all Ugandan women. In addition, we provide a souvenir brochure for the audience to take away from the show and in that brochure we have profiles on some of Ugandans’ business and tourist attractions. We are also organising various Ugandan cultural dance troupe from various parts of Uganda to present our beauty, culture and Heritage in line with our theme. |
