Maria Namiiro is the new Miss Uganda UK 2009

Maria aged 20 will fly to Kampala to take part in Miss Uganda for Miss World 2009 finale, which will be held at the prestigious Imperial Royale Hotel on the 26^th Sept 2009.

Maria also lifted trophies for Best Traditional/Creative Wear and Best Evening Wear.
She was a favourite with the huge audience packed into the wonderful art deco
theatre Troxy.

At the press conference and after party, she will receive £1000 cash, a modelling contract with Mahogany Model Management; she becomes the face of Brenda Maraka Design, a photographic portfolio by Martin Kuria Photography, and beauty products.

Maria is the new ambassador for Latitude Care Network (LCN). She will be involved in raising the awareness of the plight of children of Northern Uganda. Maria’s presentation in all phases of the event was impressive and our best wishes to her as she embarks on the next stage of the competition towards the Miss World title.
